Rova 13th 17 - Barbarian Culling

The group rest well.

After a couple of hours of further travel the group find themselves in a hilly area where a small camp of about twenty barbarians could be seen near a 50ft cliff, at the cliff face a cave could be seen and the group spot one of the black sisters walking into it with a bag of some sort.

The group decide to attack the camp first from a small outcropping of nearby trees.

Vaneer casts a wall of thorns which blocks the camp from the cliff face.

Otto casts call lightning.

Natalia starts to summon a water elemental to attack the camp occupants.

The group continue the onslaught trying to be careful to not use too many high level spells which draws the barbarians to them leading an easy melee combat and not too long after all the barbarian forces had been dealt with.

Next they turned their sights to the cave and possibly Armag…… To be Continued next Session.

Rova 12th 17 - Let's go North

The group rest uneventfully

With their new council members the group leave the town and head north.

As evening approached they were close to the Cain site so the group decided to rest before taking on whatever laid ahead of them.

Rova 11th 17 - Fort Confusion

The group awake well rested and Vaneer provides a heroes feast to bolster their efforts for the day.

The group gather their gear and begin to head up the stairs.

50ft climb later the stairs end in a solid stone wall where Miro manages to find a locked secret door which takes him a while to pick the lock open.

They open the door into a dusty room in some sort of underground basement and from the looks of it the room hadn’t been used for a long time and there appeared to be no other way out then the door they had just entered in.

After some time Vaneer finds two secret doors leading out of the room.

After waiting for an extended amount of time Miro finally unlocks both secret doors, they then open the door to the south and find a wine cellar.

The other door lead into a large room with a set of stairs heading upwards and a number of cells.

The cells were all occupied with Baron Deleth, his wife and their general.

Miro again takes some extended time to unlock the cells and let out the nobles where the group directed them to the secret passageway and told them that they should head to the velvet corner.

As they begin to head up the stairs the group could hear voices above.

Otto casts an invisibility sphere whilst Vaneer dropped a sword on the floor to make a noise and hopefully attract the attention of those upstairs.

One mercenary comes down the stairs to investigate as he calls up to whomever is still at the top of the stairs.

Otto casts deep slumber at the top of the stairs and another guard fell to the bottom of the stairway where Miro then jumped into action taking both guards out before any alarms could be raised to their presence.

The group drag the bodies of the deceased guards into the now empty cells and then make their way up the stairs.

The top of the stairs opened onto a large landing area with numerous doors including the main door to the fort and another set of stairs heading upwards, the group decide to bar the main door closed from inside and then investigated the other doors.

The doors lead into various storerooms, cloakrooms, kitchen, pantry, workshop and washrooms which had nothing of interest for looting purposes.

The group head up the stairs to the second floor where they hear faint voices coming from one of the rooms nearby. Otto turns himself invisible and creeps over and cracks open the door to see around eight people sitting and eating at a large table.

Otto casts confusion into the room which affects five of the room’s eight occupants and then closes the door to leave the spell to work its magic whilst the group continue to investigate the rest of the second floor.

The rest of the floor contained a library, latrine, study and access to the ramparts. The group lock the doors to the ramparts and return to the dining room to review the confusion spells after effects.

As the group approached the door to the dining area one of the occupants came running through the door and bounced off Hugo’s chest and whilst still recovering from the shock Otto, Natalia and Miro silence him quickly.

Otto then peered through the door and took note of the aftermath of the confusion spell, two mercenaries were still alive although badly injured while the rest appeared to be dead. The group move in quickly and finish the two remaining mercs before heading up to the third floor.

At the top of the stairs the group find a locked door denying them access to the third floor. Miro is left to struggle with the lock and eventually opens the door.

The group enters into what looks like an art gallery with two bedrooms, a washroom and a balcony overlooking the fort’s courtyard.

With nothing of much interest they head up to the fourth floor which opens into a corridor with multiple doors leading off from it.

The first door lead into a large bedroom with a massive wardrobe, the second door lead to another bed chamber and washroom, the third door lead into another bedroom decorated with pictures of Nymphs’ and Satyrs cavorting, the fourth door lead into a bedroom decorated with a lot of axes….lots of axes!!!!

The group head back down to the balcony and take a sneak peak out to the courtyards and notice six giants standing around in the outer courtyard and a total of five guards in the tower platforms overlooking the courtyards with more guards dotted around the ramparts.

Otto casts confusion onto the six giants of which only two succumb to the spells effects, Otto casts the spell twice more and finally gets all six which ends up with them all brawling against each other and acting as a perfect distraction as the guards start watching and cheering the fight.

The group descend back to the second floor and under the guise of an Invisibility sphere they exited the main fort and made their way across to the nearest guard tower. As they enter the tower on the second floor they find it empty an so quickly head up to the top level to kill the sole guard discreetly whilst he was watching the giant fighting match.

With the rest of the tower confirmed empty the group move on to the next tower.
As they entered on the second floor of the next tower they could instantly hear cheering from a room ahead and above of them.

Otto and Boss stay on the second floor whilst Otto casts confusion into the barracks where more mercenaries were watching the giant fight which soon turned them into a brawling mess.

The rest of the group headed up to the top floor to take out the four bodies that were supposedly on watch.

They all then head down to the bottom floor of the tower to find an empty meeting room before returning to the barracks to mop up the remaining two mercenaries.

Then again under the shield of an invisibility sphere and stealth skills the group make their way round the ramparts killing of one guard after the after.

Once the ramparts are cleared the group descend into the inner courtyard and start peering into the buildings contained within, they soon find a washroom and a number of commoners doing the keeps laundry to which they warn them to stay put for a while to keep them safe.

The group then make their way towards the outer courtyard and head for the stables where they find it completely empty.

As they exit the stables they catch sight of the four remaining giants struggling to stand upright from the after effects of their brawl so the group make their way to finish the job.

Instead of going straight into the fight they head back up to the ramparts and try to throw pebbles at the giants to instigate another fight but it fails so Otto casts another confusion spell which affects three of the four giants.

When only the fourth giant was left Otto cast a scorching ray killing it off.

With no sign of the leaders at the fort the group decide that it was about time to head back to the rebellion at the velvet corner.

As they enter into the velvet corner to find the place in complete disarray with some people kneeling on the floor with hoods over their heads with others lying dead on the floor. Standing behind the kneeling figures were the mercenary leaders that the group had gone looking for.

It turned out they had come looking for the group at the same time the group had gone looking for them. Tension rises but the group offers them the same permanent deal that Armag had offered them with the addition of a position on the Wyvernshore council.

The leaders, Vardigan (Barbarian), Imeckus (Wizard) and Lady Quintesa (Bard) have a heated discussion between them. Imeckus and Quintesa agree to the offer but Vardigan refuses, he spurs into a rage and attacks Otto.

Vaneer casts a searing light at Vardigan.

Vardigan hits Otto hard.

Miro attacks Vardigan but some sort of force prevents his blade from connecting.

Imeckus casts a scorching ray at the barbarian and hits.

Natalia starts casting.

Lady Quintesa starts singing.

Otto casts Mirror image on himself.

Boss attacks Vardigan and hits.

Vaneer casts sound blast and hits the barbarian.

Vardigan destroys two of Otto’s mirror images as well as hitting Otto.

Hugo attacks the barbarian and hits.

Miro manages to sink a blow into Vardigan’s calf doing some serious damage.

Imeckus casts a disintegrate spell which fails to affect followed by a quickened magic missile.

Bob attacks and hits Vardigan.

An earth elemental appears and hits the barbarian.

Lady Quintesa sings some weird words and Vardigan drops down dead.

The group release the prisoners and get them to start putting the velvet corner back together.
Lady Quintesa offers to return to the garrison and to tell her troops to stand down and inform them of the new deal.

Before she leaves though the lady informs the group of what she knows about Armag.
‘Armag believes he is the second coming of the great barbarian Armag and when he has the sword their souls will combine together and he can then call the souls of all the fallen barbarians.’

When asked about the black sisters the group find out that they’re worshippers of Gyronna and that they are hoping that Armag will run chaos over all the kingdoms including Dragonmere.

The group decide to rest and head north to intercept Armag the next day.

Rova 10th 17 - Distract with the Left, Rescue with the Right

Two days had been spent distributing confiscated goods

The group now decide it is time to bolster numbers of the rebellion by rescuing the captured city guard and so they hatch a plan.

It’s soon decided that Natalia, Vaneer, Hugo and Bob would head towards the docks where their mission would to cause a distraction whilst Miro, Otto and Boss head to the north east watch tower to rescue the captives.

Whilst on route to the docks Vaneer is stopped by a barbarian patrol that insisted the cleric removed his shiny armour on the spot for the cause. Vaneer snorted and blasted the barbarians with a flame strike spell.

Vaneer then cast a sound burst on the barbarians.

The 4 remaining barbarians attack Vaneer with only one managing to land a successful blow.

Bob attacks a barbarian and kills it.

Natalia summons a lightning bolt which dispatches the 4th barbarian.

Hugo attacks another barbarian killing it and then takes an extra swing at the remaining barbarian which he also kills.

An annoyed Vaneer positions the bodies into a lewd position before making their way through the old temple grounds.

Meanwhile on the other side of the town, Miro and Otto spotted the column of fire in the sky near the docks and took this as the start of the distraction. They wait to see the patrols and guards to run towards the distraction.

All that was left was 2 patrols, one group of three barbarians up in the watch tower and a further group on the ground consisting of three barbarians and a giant.

Otto casts invisibility on Miro,

Miro moves towards the giant guarding the access to the cells.

Otto then attempts to cast Hold Person on the giant which seems to take hold.

The giant now vulnerable is subjected to Miro’s Coup de Grace killing the giant out right.

The three barbarians on the watch tower start to throw axes at Miro.

Whilst the three barbarians on the ground draw their weapons and rush towards Miro.

Boss shoots at the three barbarians in the watch tower.

Otto casts confusion on the three barbarians on the ground.

Boss shoots again at the tower killing one barbarian.

Miro tumbles behind one barbarian and injures one.

Two barbarians attack Miro but miss whilst the third attacks one of the attacking barbarians.

The two barbarians in the watch tower continue to throw axes at Boss but miss.

The barbarian captain appears and attacks Miro but misses.

Boss shoots again up into the tower.

Otto casts a black tentacle spell on the ground which grapples all the foes in the area.

Miro sneaks up to the captain but fails to land a blow on the grappled human,

The captain manages to break free of the black tentacles grasp.

Another two axes fly down from the watch tower, one managing to hit Boss this time.

Tentacles fail to re-grapple the captain.

Otto casts a ray of enfeeblement on the captain but it fails to affect.

Boss continues his barrage on the watch tower managing to kill another barbarian.

The captain attacks Miro but fails to land a blow.

The final barbarian in the watch tower leaps down from the tower and manages to land a blow on Boss whilst injuring himself.

One of the grappled barbarians dies from the crushing of the tentacles.

Boss attacks the barbarian that jumped down on to him and hits.

Otto attempts to cast another ray of enfeeblement on the captain which hits this time.

Miro lands a critical blow on the captain killing him straight away.

Otto tries to use his long spear on one of the two remaining grappled barbarians and hits.

Boss attacks his barbarian and kills it.

Miro flanks the barbarian that Otto was attacking and kills it.

The tentacles finish off the remaining barbarian.

As Vaneer and Natalia make their way through the temple grounds they have a change a plan, the flame strike would attract any patrols to that sight already so wouldn’t it make sense to just launch an attack there instead of risking multiple smaller conflicts!

They head back to the sight of the previous encounter and find four patrols approaching at haste to investigate.

Vaneer then casts blade barrier which encircles round three of the four patrols.

Natalia uses her still running lightening spell to start attacking the fourth patrol.

Natalia starts to summon a huge earth elemental to aid in the fight.

The elemental attacks and does hefty damage to the fourth patrol.

Bob attacks a barbarian and hits.

Hugo shoots at a barbarian and hits.

Vaneer starts casting.

Two barbarians rush through the blade barrier and surprisingly make it through.

The elemental hits another barbarian.

Two barbarians attack Vaneer but miss.

Two barbarians attack Hugo but miss.

One barbarian attacks Bob and misses.

Bob hits back at the barbarian that attacked him and hits.

Natalia’s lightening hits another barbarian.

The elemental attacks another barbarian and kills it.

Vaneer’s elemental now appears and kills the nearest barbarian to it.

Vaneer attacks a barbarian and kills it.

The barbarians fail to hit any of their targets.

Vaneer notices that a patrol of barbarians is racing towards them from the docks at their back.

The fight continues for a while though the following actions help sway the combat in the groups favour with little damage to themselves.

Vaneer used a wall of thorns to block the approaching barbarians from reaching the group whilst

Natalia summoned a water elemental to take care of those beyond the wall.

The barbarians still contained within the blade barrier all perish whilst trying to escape which ends up with sprays of blood being expelled from the twirling blades.

In the end 3 barbarians manage to escape the fight whilst one surrenders to the group.

Back at the cells, Miro finally manages to break into the jail house and eventually unlocks the majority of the cell doors when Otto helpfully points out that there must a key somewhere nearby.

After a bit of time they manage to free all the capture town guards and then under the use of an invisibility sphere spell they are snuck out and hidden in various safe houses around the town.

Both groups soon meet back up at the velvet corner with the captured barbarian and with the use of a candle of truth they soon set out interrogating their captive.

Through questioning they find out the following Intel;
-       There are about two dozen mercenaries in the garrison;
-       The Fort contains a number of mercenaries and six giants;
-       The Drelev hierarchy is being held prisoner at the Fort;
-       The barbarian encampment has over 100 barbarians and no prisoners;
-       Armag the invasion leader took a small force and headed off somewhere to the north;
-       Armag’s advisors known as the black sisters have travelled with him;
-       There’s a rumour of a black dragon in the area but it hasn’t been seen;
-       There’s a legendary sabre tooth tight ‘Spear Tooth’ to the west;
-       The mercenary leader is in the fort, is female and sings to the birds;
-       The mercenary leaders second in command is a barbarian and in the fort;
-       The mercenary leaders third in command is a spellcaster also in the fort;
-       Armag is looking for something to bring all the ancient tribes together in a barbarian Cain to the north.

The group leave the barbarian locked in a room as they had agreed that they would spare his life, little did they know that the rebellion was planning on poisoning him and wouldn’t survive the night.

Whilst talking through the information they had obtained one of the older guards interrupts and informs the group that not many people know that there is actually an old secret passage into the fort basement and points to a location just out of town where they should be able to find the entrance.

Whilst discussing their plans a member of the rebellion had been thumbing through their library and had found an old reference to a barbarian named ‘Armag’.

The passage referred to the ‘Age of Destiny’ where a barbarian warlord by the name of Armag managed to align all the barbarian tribes and wreak havoc in the north. He forced the tribes to align and was quoted for saying that he ‘would live forever and death would never slay him’.

This apparently offended the goddess Pharasma and she did what she could to try and slay Armag which in turn angered Gorum and so the two waged battle over Armag’s soul.

Eventually Armag was defeated by a powerful red dragon and just before his soul entered the bone yard for judgement Gorum infused the barbarians soul into a sword and buried it ready for his next coming.

Satinder the rebellion leader offered to escort the group to the ‘Secret Tunnel’ and so Otto casts invisibility sphere on the group and they set off looking for the entrance.

They manage to sneak out of the town without incident and soon find amongst some trees near a shallow shore of Hooktongue Lake a small mechanism in the cliff face that opened an 8ft tall doorway leading into darkness.

They followed the passage till it opened into a natural lime stone cavern where the passage continued further on beyond the cavern. As they progress through the cavern Miro finds himself stepping on something that went ‘Crunch’ under his feet as what appeared to be skull fragments rose to the surface of the water they were wading through.

Suddenly black tentacles begin to rise from the surface and the group are confronted with some sort of Ooze like creature (Formless Spawn), the Ooze attacks Miro but fails to hit.

The Tentacles also manage to hit Otto, Natalia and Boss but managed to Miss Vaneer.

Boss throws a javelin of lightening at the Ooze and hits.

Otto casts a scorching ray but misses his target.

Natalia casts a spell but it fails to complete.

Miro attacks and hits the Ooze but seems to deal no damage.

Hugo attacks and hits and does little damage.

Vaneer casts searing light and fails to hit the Ooze.

Ooze attacks and hits Bob, Hugo and Miro.

Otto cast cone of cold and deals some damage to the Ooze.

Boss fires a fire arrow and hits the ooze.

Natalia casts a Ice storm spell dealing some damage.

Bob attacks the one of the tentacles but does little damage.

Miro attacks and does little damage.

Hugo attacks and does little damage.

Vaneer cast Holy Smite.

Ooze attacks Bob and swallows the badger, it also hits Hugo but misses Miro.

Otto casts another cone of cold and hits the Ooze.

Boss fires another fire arrow but misses.

Natalia moves her flaming sphere and hits the Ooze.

Natalia casts a flame strike which also hits.

Bob attacks from inside the Ooze.

Vaneer shoots and does little damage.

The Ooze attacks and hits Hugo but fails to Miro.

Otto casts another cone of cold and hits.

Boss shoots and hits but deals no damage.

Bob chews at the Oozes insides again.

Miro attacks but deals little damage.

Hugo attacks and does little damage but just enough to kill the Ooze.

Vaneer and Natalia set to work healing the group back up.

The group then continue through the cavern and down the continuing passageway.

The passageway begins to incline upwards out of the shallow waters and eventually opens another larger limestone cavern, in the side of the cavern they could see that ascending spiralling steps had been carved into the stonework.

The group decide to rest in the cave before continuing to the fort above.

Rova 7th 17 - Viva la Rebellion!

The group awake well rested from an uneventful night.

The plan is put into action after a spot of breakfast and the group find it easy to enter the city and shortly afterwards find their way to the dance hall.

Once the group made their way into the dance hall they track down the person described by Kassandra and request a meeting with them in private whilst mentioning the pass phrase given to them by Kassandra.

A little sceptical at first the rebellion leader agrees to the meeting and escorts the group to a private room where they introduce themselves and explain about rescuing Kassandra whilst making her way to Wyvernshore.

The gathered rebels explain that the betrayal of the city came from within the ruling family somewhere but ‘Armeg’ was the ring leader who was controlling the Barbarian tribes, Trolls and mercenary’s. He was a 19 year old with a massively powerful axe and seemed to have a head for strategy though when asked for his location the group soon learned that he was no longer in the city.

The rebels suggest that if the group wishes to help then the best way to do so is to help retrieve the confiscated food and weapons to return them to the deprived citizens which in turn should help spurn the citizens to revolt against the invading force.

The group agree to this idea as they know it would help to have extra numbers on their side would should a fight breakout. They sit and discuss a plan of attack and wait for the cover of night fall to begin the liberation of the city.

As dusk settles Natalia again shifts into a form of a bird and makes her way to the furthest gate from the docks. 

As a sparrow she sits within the trees near the gates for just over ten minutes before she summons a pair of manticores to attack the guards at the gate to provide a distraction so the others can sneak into the docks.

The manticores started strong critically injuring one of the guards in their first attack, this proved the pros of the plan though as alarm bells were raised drawing everyone’s attention to the gate.

As the rest of the group approach the docks they notice that there are three guards keeping watch, Otto casts deep slumber twice which takes out all three allowing the rest of the group to approach and deal with the rest in regards to coup de gras.

As they were loading up their portable hole with the confiscated food a giant soon appears nearby searching for his missing comrades,

Otto casts hold monster which takes hold allowing Miro the chance to finish the giant before he had a chance to raise the alarm.

Shortly after the giant was disposed of into the dock waters another giant and human soon appear near the group, Otto again tries to cast hold monster twice on the giant both times failing.

The giant now not sure what was happening to him seemed alarmed till Otto’s hideous laughter takes hold which causes the human next to the giant to jump in shock. The human though took a further two deep slumber spells before he was no risk to the group and could be left to Miro’s devilish ways.

The group had now collected all the food they could carry and snuck off into the city to distribute the food to the citizens in need of it when they stumbled across the smithy’s shop which had been lock up from the outside.

The group take the opportunity to also break into the smithy’s workshop where they collect all the weapons that they could lay their hands on before returning to the streets and whilst avoiding the patrols they continued to hand out the confiscated food and weapons where they can before returning to the dance hall and retire for the rest of the night.

Rova 6th 17 - Is it a Water Wolf? Or is it an Otter?

The group awoke well rested and soon continued their journey north east.

The soon came to a large lake with a heavy wooded island in the middle. They pull out the folding boat that they had been carrying and make their way towards the island, as they got closer a small number of bog striders could be seen coming to the shore watching the group.

Again Vaneer attempts a bit of diplomacy which only resulted in a warning of do not approach or you shall be attacked, the group decided to turn the boat around and leave the island untouched.

Whilst still on the boat the group take advantage of the streams leading away from the lake and plot a course of sorts to the biggest lake in this land, Lake Hook tongue.

As the group are making their way up the streams they suddenly notice some movement under the water surface, then Vaneer spots at least 2 oversized otters with wolf like teeth (Agvizotl) as the Cleric and other gets knocked out of the boat and into the water.

Vaneer swims back to the bank,

Hugo swims towards the bank,

Miro steers the boat towards the right bank,

Otto casts hold monster which captures one of the creatures,

Boss struggles to keep himself afloat in the water,

Bob swims towards the bank,

Natalia starts casting a spell,

The other creature(2) tries to attack Boss but fails,

The creature(1) that was held manages to break the spell,

Vaneer casts a searing light at creature(2) and deals critical damage,

Natalia summons a water elemental,

Otto reholds creature(1),

Vaneer shoots twice at creature(2),

Miro stabs and kills creature(2),

Creature(1) breaks the hold and starts to flee,

Natalia’s water elemental gives chase of creature(1) and finishes the job or so they believe.

The group continue cautiously floating along the stream system till they begin to see a fort in the distance, this they thought must be the city in which Kassandra had described from where she came from.

They decided that it would make sense for Natalia to take flight over the fort and city to scout out what she can see, she soon returns with details of the layout of the city and the patrol routes of the guards.

The group discuss and decide that their best option is for Natalia to fly in whilst the rest under the guise of invisibility would walk along the bank into the port and then from there make they would all make their way to the dance hall as recommended by Kassandra where the group can meet with the local resistance.

With a plan in place the group decide to rest for the night and tackle their infiltration in the morning.

Rova 5th 17 - That's a good lickin'

The group awake from an uneventful night and a complete downpour,

The group continue heading south and after a while both Miro and Vaneer notice that the area they happen to be travelling through had signs that fey were in the area but at the moment nowhere to be seen.

They decide not to waste time looking into the area and eventually end up at the edge of what appears to be a rather miserable looking part of a swap with lots of swamp gas.

Vaneer attempts to crack a joke about trouser snakes but it is only met with sighs and groans.

They leave the swamp behind and try to find a way round it when the soon come across a large hillock, as they get closer it soon becomes apparent that it wasn’t a hillock but actually 22ft tall froglike creature with 3 eyes and tentacles! (Frogamoth).

Otto immediately gets close to the party so that they are all encompassed within his casting of haste,

Boss shoots at the Frogamoth and hits,

Frogamoth hits Miro…HARD! And then Tongue’s Otto with its 30ft long tongue.

Vaneer starts casting,

Miro fails to feint the giant frog but still manages to land a successful blow,

Hugo moves into attack and hits,

Natalia starts casting a spell,

Bob charges into attack,

Frogamoth swallows Otto (Ewwww!!!),

Otto attempts to cast Dimensional door from within the Frogamoths belly which luckily succeeds and transports him back to the group,

Boss shoots and misses,

Frogamoth hits Miro whilst grappling Hugo with its tongue,

Vaneer summons an earth elemental which lands a blow on the frogamoth,

Vaneer casts prayer,

Miro attacks back and hits,

Hugo tries to stab a lighting javelin into the creature,

Natalia also summons an earth elemental which also hits the frogamoth,

Otto attempts to hit it with a ray of enfeeblement but the ray fails,

Boss shoots and hits the creature twice,

Frogamoth hits Miro again and swallows Hugo,

Vaneers elemental hits the creature hard,

Vaneer casts searing light and hits his target,

Miro attacks and hits multiple times cutting the creatures side open allowing Hugo to escape,

Natalia summons another elemental,

Bob attacks but misses,

The elementals hit for a fair amount of damage,

Natalia casts guidance on her latest elemental,

Otto casts Hold Monster which takes hold on the frogamoth at which point Otto kicks a stone and grumbles about not casting that spell sooner,

Boss attacks the held creature and hits,

Vaneer’s elemental hits the frogamoth again doing enough damage to kill the 16,000lb beast as it collapses and crushes Miro,

Whilst the others attempt to pull Miro free, Vaneer and Natalia set out to heal up the party.

With it still raining the group continue their slog of a journey.

As the group are travelling through a small wooded area they suddenly could hear what sounded like trees crashing and breaking before Miro was pointing up into the air screaming “GIANT!”

The group look up to see that crashing through the trees whilst fighting each other were indeed two giants, giant snails!

Suddenly the snails’ attention seem to turn to the group and they stop fighting each other.

Vaneer not wasting any time casts flamestrike at one of the giant snails,

Natalia casts Spiked Growth,

Bob charges in and lands a blow on one of the snails,

Otto also casts a flamestrike,

Boss shoots and hits,

One slug attacks Bob and hits,

The other slug spits acid at Vaneer,

Miro moves into a flanking position on one of the snails,

Hugo attacks and kills the most injured slug,

Vaneer casts a create water spell to help wash off the acid covering him,

Natalia casts a flamestrike,

Otto cast a fireball which kills the remaining snail.

They turn north east and before sunset decide to set up camp for the night.
